Our Dental Team

We have a team of 30 staff members at Vancouver Dental at Victoria & 54th. Some of our employees have been with us for more than 30 years and are passionate about helping patients with all their dental and insurance needs. Our goal is to make your trip to the dentist relaxing and stress-free.

Dr. Benson Fung, General Dentist

Dr. Benson Fung is the owner and principal dentist at Vancouver Dental At Victoria & 54th, he was born and raised in Vancouver and attended Windermere Secondary School. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology at the University of British Columbia and a Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) from Indiana University. He completed his residency at the University of Michigan.

From Michigan, Dr. Fung ventured to the warm, welcoming and diverse region of Southern California, where he was an attending surgeon at UCLA and made the family-oriented Yorba Linda area his home. He operated a successful dental practice there from 2001 through 2014.

Dr. Fung approaches patients and their dental needs with a depth of dental experience combined with a creative, personal manner. He integrates science, technology and art to create the smiles his patients have always wanted.

Dr. Fung is proud to return to his hometown as a member of the clinical team at Victoria & 54th Dental. He looks forward to building on the incredible tradition of care that has been established over the past 40 years.

Dr. Jay Y. Lam, General Dentist
English, Cantonese and Mandarin

Raised in Delta, BC, Dr. Lam earned a Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science degree and a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree at the University of British Columbia.

Throughout his education and early career, Dr. Lam received numerous awards for his academic aptitude and community involvement, including the prestigious Dr. John Blatherwick Award in 2011, the Carlos Carrillo Memorial Community Service Award in 2015 and the American Academy of Orofacial Pain Outstanding Senior Student Award in 2016.

He has been on exchange to Korea and Japan, and on an oral surgery externship in New York. Dr. Lam serves as a mentor for dental students, and intends to continue his services as a clinical instructor in the future.

In his free time, he enjoys skiing, dancing, and walking his dog.

Dr. Brock Saucy, General Dentist

Dr. Brock Saucy was born and raised in Delta, and completed his undergraduate degree in Biology at UBC. He moved to New York, where he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) at New York University, and then completed his General Practice Residency at Kings County Hospital in Brooklyn.

After New York, Dr. Saucy headed back to Vancouver, where he now lives with his wife and two young children.

Dr. Saucy believes the best care stems from understanding each patient’s needs. He has a passion for providing approachable family and multi-generational dental care.

He loves being back on the west coast, where he and his family spend as much time outdoors together as they can.
